Pōkeno Discovery is a New Zealand single malt whisky that celebrates its unique place in the world, bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV).
Pōkeno carefully selects and blends parcels of stock that have been fully matured in first-fill bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks, then lays them back down in a cask to allow them to marry together perfectly. The combination of American oak and two styles of sherry cask gives the whisky both bright fruit and rich, dark depth.
It is a rich and complex whisky, with beautiful notes of dark chocolate, Black Forest gâteau, ripe cherries and sweet citrus, giving way to a rich, smooth and incredibly long finish.
