Porfidio makes The Maximus from Blue Agave Tequilana Weber, fermented with an indigenous agave yeast and double distilled in a hybrid copper pot still. The spirit is then aged in virgin American white oak barrels for an extended period, giving it the depth and velvety texture that earn its XXO designation. The barrels are made from white oak grown in Pennsylvania, and the tequila rests in the same virgin barrel for its entire maturation, drawing ever deeper colour and flavour from the wood.
