Porfidio The Plata is an unaged 100% blue Weber agave spirit from Jalisco, created with the agave purist in mind and bottled fresh after distillation at 40% ABV, in Porfidio's iconic hand-blown bottle with a green glass cactus inside.
Porfidio uses first-growth blue agave and cold-pressed agave juice, which is hydrolysed enzymatically rather than with heat. This gentler process greatly reduces methanol content and adds smoothness. The spirit is distilled in a German Holstein still for exceptional purity.
Because it never touches wood, The Plata keeps the agave in its original state: subtle sweetness and ripe agave on the nose, a bright, fresh palate with a balanced citrus note, and a super-clean finish.
