R.L. Seale's 12 Year is an authentic aged Barbados rum distilled and blended at the Foursquare Rum Distillery, aged a minimum of 12 years on site in a tropical climate and bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) with no added flavors or sugar.
R.L. Seale & Co. was founded in 1926 by Reginald Leon Seale, embracing the Barbados tradition of fine aged and blended rums. It is run today by his great-grandson Richard Seale, the fourth generation of the family rum business, best known as Master Distiller and Master Blender of Foursquare, which the Seale family reopened in 1996. Foursquare has been named Rum Producer of the Year for five consecutive years at the International Spirits Challenge and International Wine & Spirits Competition. This blend of pot and column distilled rums matures in ex-bourbon barrels.
