Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is a limited single pot still Irish whiskey, the fifth release in Redbreast's Iberian Series, debuting in early 2026 and bottled at 46% ABV.
The Iberian Series celebrates Gilbey's history of importing fortified wines and sherry since the late 1800s. Master Blender David McCabe travelled to source casks from the bodegas of Spain and the quintas of Portugal to explore and expand Redbreast's sherried flavours. For this edition, Redbreast's single pot still whiskey, made from malted and unmalted barley, was first matured in ex-American whiskey casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, then given an extended finish in casks seasoned with Moscatel wine from the hills of Málaga.
The Moscatel brings a bright, Mediterranean character to the signature creamy Redbreast style, adding honeyed aromatics, ripe stone fruit and a floral sweetness over classic pot still spice, with a long, warming finish.
