Rock Town Single Barrel is a cask-strength bourbon distilled, aged and bottled at Rock Town Distillery in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, hand-selected barrel by barrel by founder and head distiller Phil Brandon and bottled here at 118 proof (59% ABV).
It is double distilled from a mash bill of 82% Arkansas corn, 9% Arkansas soft red winter wheat and 9% malted barley, and aged at the distillery in small, air-seasoned new charred oak barrels coopered in Arkansas at Gibbs Brothers Cooperage. Made this way, it was Arkansas' first ever bourbon whiskey.
Everything is milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, aged, bottled and packaged at the distillery in Little Rock, from local Arkansas grain.
Each barrel is chosen for its delicious flavour profile, making every bottle a one-of-a-kind gift for bourbon lovers.
Sip it neat, then add a little water to taste.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
Bourbon is made from at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and it can be made anywhere in the United States.
Small barrels give the whiskey more contact with the wood relative to its volume, drawing oak flavour and colour more quickly.
