Satryna Blanco is a small-batch, triple-distilled 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Jalisco highlands, presented in a hand-numbered bottle topped with a sugar skull cap, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Satryna is a small-batch artisanal tequila producer devoted to making ultra-smooth tequila with an edgy, eclectic individuality. Its agave grows in the rich volcanic soil of the Jalisco highlands for eight to nine years before each plant is hand-selected and harvested. The piñas are steam cooked for 24 hours and the tequila is triple distilled for ultimate smoothness while keeping the true character of sweet agave, then bottled unaged.
Crisp agave leads, with a turn of citrus and a hint of vanilla, ending bright, fresh and smooth.
The sugar-skull bottle makes it a showpiece gift.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
