Snowdrop Vodka is a small-batch Vermont vodka from Saxtons River Distillery in Brattleboro, a gluten-free, corn-based vodka distilled several times and filtered through activated carbon, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Saxtons River Distillery was founded in Vermont in 2006, inspired by founder Christian Stromberg's Lithuanian family tradition of making flavored liqueurs. It began in Stromberg's barn before moving to its home on Route 30, and today it is known for its maple-based Sapling bourbons and ryes, Snowdrop Gin, a vacuum-distilled American gin with eighteen botanicals, and Perc Coffee Liqueur. In 2022 it expanded the Snowdrop line with this vodka, a companion to the American dry gin and, as the label puts it, a taste of spring.
Snowdrop Vodka is made from corn, so it is naturally gluten-free. It is fermented from corn and distilled six times in small batches and filtered through activated carbon for a clean, smooth spirit, with no artificial sweeteners or flavors.
Clean and soft, with the gentle sweetness that a corn base brings, it finishes crisp and smooth.
Keep it in the freezer for chilled shots, stir a Vodka Martini with a lemon twist, or mix it with tonic, soda or cranberry. It also makes a great base for a maple-sweetened Vermont Mule. Its clean, mixer-friendly character lets fresh juices and syrups shine, and the clear bottle with its pale-blue Snowdrop label matches the distillery's gin, making the two a natural gift pair for fans of Vermont spirits.
