Scotti's Original Springs Private Stock is a limited-production, double-barrel bourbon, aged three years and bottled at barrel strength, 63% ABV.
It spent one year in a new, charred American white oak barrel, then two years in a 4-year-old Rittenhouse Rye barrel.
No water was added at bottling, keeping the bourbon in its purest form and bringing out intense flavours and aromas.
The rye-barrel finish adds spice and depth to the bourbon's caramel sweetness.
It builds on the brand's original 2021 release, and its classic red-and-cream label makes it a handsome gift for a high-proof bourbon fan.
Bourbon must be made in the United States from a mash of at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak containers, and straight bourbon must be aged at least two years. Those rules give bourbon its characteristic sweetness, with caramel and vanilla drawn from the charred barrels.
