Segura Viudas Reserva Heredad is the top-tier Cava of Segura Viudas, from the Penedès region of Catalonia in Spain, bottled at 12% ABV.
It is a blend of Macabeo and Parellada, the classic white grapes of Cava, drawn from nine different cuvées vinified separately and then blended.
Made by the traditional method, it ages for at least 30 months on its lees in bottle, giving it fine bubbles and toasty depth.
In the glass it is elegant and complex, with citrus, white fruit and toasted brioche, a creamy mousse and a long, dry finish.
Its heavy bottle with an ornate pewter base and the Segura Viudas crest makes it a showpiece for celebrations and gifting.

How to Enjoy It
Serve Reserva Heredad well chilled, at around 6 to 8°C, in a tulip or white wine glass. Chill the bottle for a few hours in the refrigerator, or for about twenty minutes in an ice bucket filled with ice and water, and open it gently, holding the cork and turning the bottle, so the fine bubbles stay in the glass. It is a natural partner for Spanish tapas, from jamón ibérico and Manchego to fried calamari, patatas bravas and croquetas, and it shines with paella, grilled prawns and roast chicken. It also makes an elegant aperitif on its own or a festive base for a Cava sangria with fresh fruit. Once opened, a sparkling wine stopper will keep it lively in the refrigerator for a day or two.
