SelvaRey Owner's Reserve is a super-premium Panamanian rum blended from rums aged roughly 15 to 25 years, hand-selected by Maestro Ronero Francisco Don Pancho Fernández. Conceived by SelvaRey co-owner Bruno Mars, who personally designed its label, bottle and gift box, it is bottled at 40% ABV.
Just as certain years produce a legendary vintage Champagne or Bordeaux, Panama sees, once or twice a decade, weather that crafts a superlative rum. For Owner's Reserve, Don Pancho hand-selected the best rums from across the best vintages in his collection to create the ultimate blend.
On the nose come caramelised brown sugar, pipe tobacco, Pedro Ximénez sherry and orange peel, with toasted oak, smoky honey, dark fruit and cocoa nibs. The palate brings caramel, raisin, prune and toffee, and the long finish offers baked apple crumble, roasted Brazil nut, charred oak, vanilla bean and cocoa.
The tall green bottle with its gold medallion is presented in a vibrant yellow box featuring SelvaRey's toucan, a joyful design that makes it an instant gift. Its first release sold out within hours.
