Solento Organic Reposado is a USDA certified organic, additive-free tequila from the volcanic highlands of Amatitán, Jalisco, aged nine months in American oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 375ml bottle.
Solento was founded by filmmaker and surfer Taylor Steele, who joined forces with the Montes family at NOM 1480 and a group of surf-world investors. The name comes from the Spanish sol lento, slow sun, reflecting a philosophy of slow processing, mindfulness and sustainability. The agave is 100% organic blue Weber, harvested in small batches from a single estate, with no additives.
Aged nine months in oak, it gains a golden hue and slightly sweet notes of caramel and citrus, with toffee and baking spice over the naturally sweet character of cooked agave.

Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
