Starward was established in 2007 by Melbourne native David Vitale, who sources barley from nearby farms and maturation barrels from vineyards in Victoria. Melbourne's famously changeable weather, often four seasons in one day, speeds up maturation. Stout Cask is a first-of-its-kind marriage of craft distilling and craft brewing.
The result is rich, dark and delicious, with a punchy proof reinforced by coffee and dark chocolate notes that meld beautifully with the thickness of the stout influence.
