The rum is a tribute to the Lewis and Clark expedition, which in July 1805 passed through StoneHouse Distillery's property. The expedition carried a great deal of rum, which was served to the enlisted men at the end of a strenuous day, and this Double Barrel Rum is made to be worthy of being enjoyed along the trail.
StoneHouse is a craft distillery nestled at the base of the Elkhorn Mountains, founded out of admiration for local values and traditions to handcraft small-batch rum and whiskey. Its founder John came to Montana from Germany, where his family made traditional clear grain spirits, and the distillery continues those values using products harvested locally.
