Suave Reposado is a small-batch 100% agave tequila from Jalisco, rested in three different types of barrel to build a layered profile. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
Suave focuses on traditional methods and environmental sustainability. For the reposado, the tequila rests in a combination of American white oak barrels, including used, ex-bourbon and new barrels, each adding its own layer of wood, spice and sweetness while keeping the bright character of the original blanco.
Deep gold in colour, it offers hints of dark chocolate and olives over the agave. The palate brings cinnamon, black pepper and toasted oak, and the finish is slightly bitter, with olive-leaf notes.
The striking bottle, wrapped in a bold diagonal sash of colour beneath its wooden stopper, makes it a stylish gift.
Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or in a premium margarita.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
