Teky Lady's Plata is an unaged tequila made in Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% blue Weber agave and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Teky Lady's was created as a tribute to women, and above all to women who have faced a difficult but not impossible road and carried on with a true love of living. The name nods to the feminine touch and care that go into each bottle, and the tall, clear bottle carries a single painted rose to match.
Plata, or silver, means the tequila goes from the still to the bottle with no barrel time, so the agave comes through clean and unmasked. It shows fresh cooked agave and citrus peel on the nose, with light herbal notes, and a crisp, vibrant palate of agave, citrus and black pepper that ends in a clean, refreshing finish.
Lively and approachable, it is made for flexibility: excellent in classic tequila cocktails and just as easy to enjoy on its own. Presented in its blue gift box, it makes a thoughtful present.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
