The Tequila Comisario Día de los Muertos Limited Edition presents Comisario's ultra-premium blanco in an intricate, holiday-themed collector's bottle honoring Mexico's Day of the Dead, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Inside is Comisario Blanco, made from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave from the Arandas highlands, harvested at seven to ten years so the agave sweetens to perfection. The blanco is not barrel aged; it stays clear and pure from its cooking and distillation.
Aromas of spun honey, waxy pear and apple, roasted pepper and delicate herbs lead to a soft, silky entry with dried apple, mineral, yellow pepper and acacia honey, finishing long, elegant and gently spicy.
The vibrant sugar-skull artwork makes it a festive collectible and a perfect gift for the season.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
