Tequila Don Ramón Cerámica Edición Especial Añejo is part of a limited special-edition collection created with legendary Mexican singer Luis Miguel, a partner in the brand. Made from 100% blue Weber agave, double distilled and aged for a year in American oak, it is bottled at 40% ABV.
The collection includes a Plata, Reposado and Añejo, each in a hand-painted ceramic bottle inspired by the agave landscape of Jalisco and bearing Luis Miguel's signature. This Añejo bottle is white with vivid blue floral painting and a gold stopper.
The nose brings roasted agave, caramel, oak spice and toasted vanilla, with a smooth, rounded palate.
It is a collector's piece for fans of Luis Miguel and a beautiful gift for tequila lovers.
Sip it neat from a snifter.
Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
