Tequila Ocho Añejo Barrel Select is a limited, additive-free 100% blue Weber agave añejo aged 12 months in barrels that previously held Old Fitzgerald 10-Year-Old Bottled-in-Bond bourbon from the Spring 2023 Decanter Series, bottled at 96 proof (48% ABV).
It is distilled by Carlos Camarena in Arandas, Jalisco, from single-estate agave harvested at peak maturity, true to Tequila Ocho's terroir-driven approach: each release names the estate where its agave grew. This bottling comes from the Las Raíces estate, 2024 vintage. The collaboration marries Ocho's agave with Heaven Hill's wheated Old Fitzgerald bourbon lineage, using freshly emptied barrels from elite bourbon batches.
The wheated bourbon casks add coffee, toffee, cacao and toasted oak, while the estate agave keeps the profile lively and mineral. The nose brings toasted coconut, roasted nuts, cherries, dark chocolate, maple syrup and roasted pineapple; the palate offers coffee, toffee, toasted oak, orange peel and rich cacao; and the finish fades from soft sweetness and toasted oak into clean agave.
Limited to 3,200 cases, it is part of Ocho's Barrel Select series and a perfect gift for whiskey drinkers who love tequila.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
