Teremana Añejo is a small-batch 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Jalisco Highlands, aged for over a year in American whiskey barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Teremana was founded by Dwayne Johnson to create a high-quality, responsibly sourced tequila at a price accessible to all; its name means spirit of the earth. Johnson worked with a Mexican family-owned distillery to build a home on its grounds solely for Teremana, Destilería Teremana de Agave in the highlands of Jalisco. The hand-harvested piñas are slow roasted in small 24-ton brick ovens for about three days at a lower temperature than most, open-tank fermented and distilled in copper pot stills handmade on site by a local artisan. Teremana was the first tequila to print nutrition information on the bottle and was named a Master in The Spirits Business awards in 2022.
Rich warm oak, vanilla and roasted agave lead to a lightly sweet and complex finish.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
