Teremana Blanco is a small-batch, 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the highest peaks of Jalisco, founded by Dwayne Johnson, unaged and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Dwayne Johnson founded Teremana to create a high-quality, responsibly sourced tequila at a price accessible to all, a tequila by the people, for the people. The name, meaning spirit of the earth, combines tere, from the Latin terra, with mana, the Polynesian word for spirit. It is made at Destilería Teremana de Agave under master distiller Carlos Anaya.
The agave is harvested by hand. The piñas are slow roasted in small, 24-ton traditional brick ovens for about three days at a lower temperature than most, then distilled in copper pot stills handmade at the distillery for a smooth, balanced tequila. Teremana was the first tequila to print nutrition information on the bottle: the Blanco is gluten-free, with no carbs, no sugar and no additives. In 2022 it won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and was named a Master in The Spirits Business awards.
Unaged for a bright, clean taste, the Blanco shows notes of bright citrus over cooked agave, with a fresh finish.
Sip it neat or on the rocks, or mix a classic Margarita or Paloma. Teremana is the tequila of the people: bring the mana.
Blanco tequila is bottled unaged or rested for less than two months, so it shows the agave at its purest: bright, peppery and fresh. It is the classic choice for margaritas and palomas, and a good blanco is just as rewarding sipped neat.
