Teremana Reposado is a small-batch, additive-free 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Jalisco Highlands, rested in American oak whiskey barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Teremana was founded by Dwayne Johnson to create a high-quality, responsibly sourced tequila at a price accessible to all. Its name combines tere, from the Latin terra for earth, and mana, the Polynesian word for spirit: spirit of the earth. It is made at Destilería Teremana de Agave under master distiller Carlos Anaya, high in the peaks of Jalisco.
Fully mature, hand-harvested agave from mineral-rich volcanic soil is slow roasted in small traditional brick ovens at a lower temperature than most, then distilled in copper pot stills handmade at the distillery. The Reposado then rests in American oak whiskey barrels, bridging the clean agave brightness of the Blanco and the richer oak depth of the Añejo. Teremana was the first tequila to print nutrition information on the bottle, and it was named a Master in The Spirits Business awards in 2022.
Warm golden in the glass, it opens with roasted agave, oak, stone fruit and a touch of vanilla. The palate carries roasted agave, oak, vanilla and spice, with tropical fruit and hints of butter, nutmeg and almond, finishing warm, clean and balanced with lingering vanilla, soft oak and a gentle peppery bite.
Sip it neat or on the rocks, or try it in a Paloma, a Tequila Old Fashioned or the People's Margarita: reposado, pineapple juice, lime juice and agave nectar.
