The Beverly QuintEssential Edition is a limited American single malt whiskey created by The Beverly with Cedar Ridge Distillery in Swisher, Iowa, aged a minimum of six years and bottled at natural cask strength of 116.9 proof (58.45% ABV).
The name nods to Cedar Ridge's QuintEssential line and to its master distiller Murphy Quint, who served as master blender for this release. After at least six years of maturation, the whiskey was finished in first-fill Amontillado sherry casks and French oak casks, layering nutty sherry sweetness and fine-grained spice over the malt. The release was limited to 675 bottles.
The nose is impressive, with dark chocolate and soft leather. The palate deepens with rich caramel, toffee and candied cherry, and the long, warming finish offers a touch of sherry sweetness balanced by the complexity of French oak.
Bold, limited and bottled at full strength, it is a standout gift for American single malt collectors.
Enjoy it neat or with a drop of water to reveal its depth.
American whiskey covers a wide range of styles, from bourbon and rye to single malts and light whiskeys, and independent blenders and small producers have made it one of the most exciting categories in spirits.
