The GlenDronach Original 12 Year Old is a richly sherried Highland single malt, matured for at least twelve years in a combination of the finest Spanish Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, with natural colour, bottled at 43% ABV.
GlenDronach was founded in 1826 in Aberdeenshire in the eastern Highlands and has long been synonymous with sherry cask maturation. The 12 Year Old is matured entirely in sherry casks from Andalucía, and the distillery's copper pot stills contribute a heavier, fuller-bodied spirit.
A sweet, creamy dram of rich amber-red gold, it offers sherried autumn fruits melding with smooth chocolate praline, gingerbread and sun-dried raisin. Caramelised bramble, silky orange and sultana envelop the palate with warming spice.
Winner of Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and presented in its box, it is a classic gift for sherried Scotch lovers.
Enjoy it neat or with a drop of water.
Scotch whisky must be distilled and matured in Scotland for at least three years in oak casks, and any age statement on the label refers to the youngest whisky in the bottle.
A single malt Scotch whisky is made from 100% malted barley at a single distillery in Scotland and aged at least three years in oak casks.
Pedro Ximénez casks lend deep, raisined sweetness, while Oloroso casks add nutty, dried-fruit richness.
Natural colour means no caramel colouring is added, so the deep hue comes entirely from the sherry casks.
