Proof and Wood first bottled the Presidential Dram in time for the 2017 presidential inauguration, and continues the tradition with each release. Every bottle comes from one selected barrel, bottled at the exact proof it came out of the cask, so proof and character vary from barrel to barrel.
Bold and complex, the nose leads with caramel and vanilla, warm oak spice, dried fruit and the concentrated character of barrel-proof aging. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with caramel, vanilla and oak around a warming spice, and the finish is long and warming, with oak and caramel lingering to a bold close.
