The Producer Ensamble is an artisanal joven mezcal from La Noria, Ejutla, Oaxaca, blending Espadín and Cuishe agaves, made by maestro mezcalero Juan Pacheco Santos and bottled at 80.4 proof (40.2% ABV).

This nuanced ensamble of Espadín (Agave angustifolia, about 7 years old) and Cuishe (Agave karwinskii, about 12 years old) is curated for shared moments with friends and good conversation. The agaves are roasted for 72 hours, crushed by a bull-pulled stone tahona and fermented for eight days in wooden vats before distillation. The Producer was created by friends from both sides of the border who traveled through Oaxaca and bonded with its land and culture, inspiring a small-batch mezcal that is refined, approachable and super smooth. The Ensamble won Gold at the 2024 New York International Spirits Competition.

Finely balanced, it is marked by vibrant florals and a distinctive mineral-driven character, with dry, earthy, green notes and gentle smoke: The Producer's most approachable, least smoky mezcal.

The rustic flask bottle with its leather tie makes it a handsome gift.

Mezcal is made by roasting agave hearts, traditionally in earthen pits, then crushing, fermenting and distilling them, a process that gives the spirit its characteristic smoky depth. Each agave variety and each village brings its own character, which is why enthusiasts love exploring small-batch bottlings.

Mezcal and other agave spirits are traditionally sipped from a copita or a small clay cup, in small sips, often alongside orange slices dusted with sal de gusano. Many are made in tiny batches by individual families, so each bottle is a snapshot of a particular place, agave and season.
