Tito's Handmade Vodka is America's original craft vodka, distilled six times in old-fashioned copper pot stills from 100% corn in Austin, Texas, and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 1.75-liter bottle.
Bert "Tito" Beveridge founded the distillery in Austin in the mid-1990s as the first legal distillery in Texas. Rather than the continuous column stills typical of big vodka producers, Tito's uses slower, more labor-intensive copper pot stills, the kind associated with whiskey and cognac, and taste-tests every batch. Made from non-GMO corn, it is naturally gluten-free, and it won a Double Gold Medal at the 2001 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The brand is also known for its charitable giving.
