Trascendente Maguey Ensamble is a complex, layered artisanal joven mezcal from Oaxaca's Tlacolula Valley, crafted from a blend of agaves and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 700ml bottle.

It is produced by third-generation mezcaleros in the Tlacolula Valley with no sugars or preservatives added. The ensamble blends Espadín, Tobalá and Cuishe agaves, cooked in volcanic stone ovens and double distilled in copper pots. The hummingbird on the label honors the pollinator of Oaxaca's magueys.

Soft on the palate with aromatic complexity, it offers a balanced, smoke-forward profile with citrus and mineral notes, and an aftertaste that reveals the artisanal process with an elegant finish.

The blue-and-white hummingbird label makes it a beautiful gift.

Mezcal is made by roasting agave hearts, traditionally in earthen pits, then crushing, fermenting and distilling them, a process that gives the spirit its characteristic smoky depth. Each agave variety and each village brings its own character, which is why enthusiasts love exploring small-batch bottlings.

Mezcal and other agave spirits are traditionally sipped from a copita or a small clay cup, in small sips, often alongside orange slices dusted with sal de gusano. Many are made in tiny batches by individual families, so each bottle is a snapshot of a particular place, agave and season.

Ensamble mezcals blend different agaves to create layers of flavor no single agave can deliver.

Tobalá is a wild agave prized for its floral, fruity character.

Cuishe adds a vegetal, mineral note to the blend.

Volcanic stone ovens give the agave a gentle roast and subtle smoke.

Serve it at room temperature in a copita to let the aromas open.

Its soft profile makes it a good introduction to mezcal blends.
