Chris Stapleton, a singer, songwriter and musician from Lexington, Kentucky, is a longtime fan of Buffalo Trace. He partnered with Harlen Wheatley, the award-winning master distiller born and raised in Kentucky, lending his artistic vision and uncompromising standard of taste to every step of the blending process.
In pursuit of the finest possible whiskey, the pair sampled more than 50 custom blends through countless hours of tasting and testing before choosing Blend No. 40 for its perfect balance of smoothness, depth and character. The label carries a historic map detailing the birthplaces of Stapleton and the distillery, a symbol of the merging of roads between two artists.
It takes you on an adventure of aromas: vanilla, aged fruit and buttery shortbread to start.
