Trujillo Blanco Tahona is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from Capilla de Guadalupe in the highlands of Los Altos de Jalisco, crushed with a traditional volcanic-stone tahona and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 700ml bottle.
The Trujillo family were agave growers before they started making their own tequila at Tequilería Trujillo. Their Tahona Blanco honors the old way of extracting the juice: after cooking, the agave is crushed by a multi-ton volcanic stone wheel rather than a modern shredder or diffuser. The tahona works the fibers slowly and keeps more of their character, giving a richer mouthfeel and deeper agave flavor.
Bright and crisp, it opens with fresh cooked-agave sweetness, layered with citrus zest, subtle herbal tones and a gentle minerality, and finishes with pepper that lingers.
