Tumbleroot Blanco Rum is a small-batch white rum from Tumbleroot Brewery and Distillery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, made from 100% organic evaporated cane juice and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Tumbleroot is a woman-owned brewery and distillery in Santa Fe whose award-winning beers and spirits are made from scratch, with spirits distilled from all-natural and organic base ingredients, many of them wild-harvested. Before founding Tumbleroot, Jason studied culinary traditions around the world and worked in several breweries and distilleries, while Angela, an avid gardener, cultivates many of the ingredients in his recipes and makes the ceramic serviceware used at the distillery.
The Blanco is made from 100% organic evaporated cane juice and distilled at a high proof, producing a clear rum that is smooth, delicate and slightly fruity. It is the base for Tumbleroot's Oro Rum, which rests on oak until it picks up a light golden hue.
It emphasizes the bright, natural sweetness of sugarcane, with clean, gently fruity notes and a smooth finish.
Designed to be a versatile cocktail mixer, it is perfect in a Mojito with fresh lime and spearmint, best consumed while listening to Cuban jazz and wondering whether salsa dancing is as easy as it looks. It is just as good in a Daiquiri or a rum punch.
Aged rum is one of the most diverse spirits in the world, shaped by the sugarcane, the still and the warm climates where it matures, which speed up the interaction between spirit and wood.
