Tumbleroot is a woman-owned Santa Fe brewery and distillery that makes its spirits from scratch, using natural and organic base ingredients and wild-harvested botanicals. High Desert Gin takes its cue from a Thai pomelo salad, where tangy citrus meets fresh herbs and a wide range of spices.
The recipe pairs basil and lime leaf, green cardamom and coriander, angelica root and long pepper, and grapefruit and lime zest against the classic backbone of juniper. The result is bright and zesty up front, herbal and gently peppery through the middle. It took a Silver award in 2025.
