Turincio Reposado is an artisanal, 100% Blue Weber agave tequila from the Highlands of Jalisco, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
Turincio is proudly Alteño at heart, a tequila that loves its land and its work, always present in its roots and its people. For Turincio there are no distinctions; the most important thing is to share it with anyone who wants a good tequila: a friendly, everyday amigo tequila. It is produced with a focus on sustainability and traditional Los Altos craftsmanship.
The reposado is bright and balanced, with fresh agave and subtle oak influence, sitting between the crispness of a blanco and the richness of an añejo.
The tall bottle with its woven lattice sleeve is a cheerful gift.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, is known for red, iron-rich soil and agave with a sweet, fruity character.
Reposado tequila rests in oak for at least two months, gaining color and gentle wood notes while keeping the agave in front.
Its easygoing balance makes it equally good on its own or in a pitcher of Palomas for friends.
A squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt bring out the fresh agave.
