Tuyo No. 3 is an añejo cristalino tequila, aged 16 months in 10-year-old bourbon barrels and then refined into a crystal-clear cristalino, bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) in a 375ml decanter.
Tuyo is presented by Casa Maestri in Tequila, Jalisco, and the brand calls it the first full line of cristalinos in the world, numbered from No. 1, a blanco cristalino, up to No. 4, an extra añejo cristalino. Its agave comes from both the highlands and the lowlands of Jalisco: highland agave gives juicy citrus and a fresh herbal touch, while lowland agave adds deeper spice.
Ageing in barrels that once held 10-year-old bourbon gives No. 3 the rich wood character of an añejo. Filtration then removes the colour while keeping the soft, sweet flavour of the aged tequila, so it pours crystal clear but drinks with the depth of a well-rested spirit.

Añejo tequila is aged between one and three years in oak barrels of no more than 600 litres, long enough to add colour, sweetness and spice while keeping the character of the agave, which makes it a natural sipping tequila.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
