TX Whiskey was launched in 2010 by Leonard Firestone and Troy Robertson, whose Fort Worth distillery was the first bourbon distillery in North Texas. Exploring American blends, they felt many lacked the complexity of the celebrated Scottish, Irish and Canadian blends, so as craft distillers they set out to innovate. The brand, cited for its rugged elegance, built a devoted following and was named Best American Craft Whiskey at the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition with a Double Gold; Pernod Ricard acquired the distillery in 2019.
