Veuve Clicquot Vintage Brut 2015 is a vintage Champagne blended from 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier, from Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages.
It is the house's 67th vintage since Madame Clicquot made the world's first vintage Champagne in 1810.
A concentrated, sun-drenched growing season gave the 2015 vertical structure and precision.
10% of the wines were vinified and aged in large oak casks, followed by prolonged ageing on the lees.
The bottle carries the house's signature yellow ribbon on its label, and it arrives in a black-and-yellow gift box marked 2015. It is a fine vintage to open for a celebration or to lay down for a few years.
Champagne can only come from the Champagne region of north-eastern France, and it gains its bubbles from a second fermentation in the bottle, the traditional method. Non-vintage cuvées are blended from several harvests so that each house can keep its signature style consistent from year to year, and they rest on their lees for at least fifteen months before release.
