Virginia Distillery Co. Hardywood Gingerbread Stout Cask Finish is a limited-edition American single malt from the Brewer's Coalition series, bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 700ml bottle.
The Brewer's Coalition celebrates partnerships between the distillery and craft brewers by finishing American single malt in barrels that previously held iconic beers. Made from 100% malted barley, this whisky aged over five years in premium ex-bourbon barrels and was then finished in barrels that held Hardywood Gingerbread Stout from Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. Just twenty barrels were sourced for the release, and it earned #17 on Whisky Advocate's Top 20.
Enjoy scents of candied lemon peel, apricot and bright ginger that melt into the taste of walnuts, freshly baked gingerbread cookies, vanilla icing and lingering baking spice. The stout barrels add a distinct festive, dessert-like quality, with hints of cocoa and honey.
It is a festive gift for single malt fans and craft beer lovers alike.
