W.L. Weller Special Reserve is the original wheated bourbon, substituting wheat for rye, from Buffalo Trace and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV).

It has a burnt orange color and a sweet nose with a presence of caramel, honey and butterscotch, a faint woodiness and a smooth palate.

The finish carries a honeysuckle note. It is an allocated release.
