Whiskey Del Bac Dorado is a mesquite-smoked American single malt with the true character of the American Southwest, made by Hamilton Distillers in Tucson, Arizona, bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) and never chill filtered.
Using the Scottish model of whisky-making, Dorado is made from 100% barley that is malted and smoked over a velvet mesquite fire, then mashed, fermented, copper pot distilled, aged and bottled on site. It is the whiskey that inspired the whole Del Bac range.
Dorado has a nose of tobacco and chocolate giving way to desert campfire embers, finishing with soft tannins and sweet toffee on the palate. It holds a 90-point rating from Whisky Advocate.
A true taste of the Sonoran Desert, it makes a memorable gift for smoky whisky lovers.
Enjoy it neat or with a drop of water.
American whiskey covers a wide range of styles, from bourbon and rye to single malts and light whiskeys, and independent blenders and small producers have made it one of the most exciting categories in spirits.
American single malt is made from 100% malted barley at a single distillery, following a tradition long associated with Scotland.
Velvet mesquite is a hardwood tree native to the Sonoran Desert, and its smoke brings a sweet, earthy character distinct from peat.
Non-chill filtered whiskey keeps its natural oils and fatty acids, preserving a fuller texture and mouthfeel.
