WhistlePig The Boss Hog XII: Feather & Flame is the 2025 installment of the annual Boss Hog series, a straight rye aged in new American oak and then matured in barrels seasoned with pulque curado, made from agave, cacao and a blend of Mexican chiltepín, guajillo and pasilla peppers.

It is the first whiskey finished this way, inspired by pulque and xocolatl, with a Vermont pewter stopper. Proof ranges from about 104.8 to 108.4 across barrels, and this bottle is 52.4% ABV.

The notes are caramel, dark chocolate and orange zest on the nose, bright citrus with soft oak and cocoa on the palate, and a finish of cacao and chili.
