WildRye Distilling started in 2013 with a simple question: what would a real Montana bourbon taste like? The answer was spirits made by hand in Bozeman from locally grown Montana ingredients whenever possible. Its tasting room sits in Bozeman's historic Cannery District, and it bills itself as Montana's most awarded distillery.
WildRye carries on the frontier tradition of making use of what you have, which reduces its carbon footprint and supports Montana's agricultural heritage. Its spirits are hand-made and bottled in Bozeman from wholesome ingredients, free of chemicals and preservatives; the family even grows and picks its own sweet corn on its farm in Corvallis, Montana, for its Five Drops Bourbon.
The cherry vodka is made the old-fashioned way. First, the distillery's small-batch, corn-based vodka is distilled by hand, one batch at a time, in custom-built pot stills. Then it is infused with the finest fresh Montana-grown cherries from the legendary Flathead Valley, rather than artificial extracts.
Finally it is brought to proof with pure Montana mountain water. The result is a naturally bold, fruit-forward vodka that captures the authentic tart-sweet character of Montana cherries, clean and smooth from the first sip to the last, with the deep ruby color of the fruit.
