YaVe Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila aged eight months in American oak barrels and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV).
YaVe was founded by beverage industry veteran Joe Cruz Jr. and is produced at Destiladora del Valle de Tequila (NOM 1438) in Jalisco from agave sourced in both the Highlands and the Lowlands, fermented with a proprietary yeast. The reposado is aged long enough to absorb the full essence of the barrel, but not so long that it loses the smoothness that sits between a fresh blanco and a sipping añejo, making reposado the best of both worlds. The bottle carries YaVe's golden key emblem.
Eight months in oak give it an Aztec-gold color and a smooth, no-burn profile with distinct smoky and caramel notes, warmth and sweetness.
The golden key emblem makes it a memorable gift.
Reposado, meaning rested, is tequila aged between two months and a year in oak, which gives it a pale gold colour and a gentle touch of wood while keeping the agave bright and lively.
Tequila can only be made from blue Weber agave in five designated Mexican states, chiefly Jalisco, and the finest bottlings are made from 100% agave. Sipping tequila is best enjoyed from a narrow-rimmed glass that concentrates the aromas, at room temperature and without salt or lime, so the character of the agave and the barrel can come through.
Reposado tequila must rest in oak for at least two months and less than a year.
Serve it in a copita to enjoy the caramel aroma.
It makes a smooth Paloma with grapefruit soda.
A splash of orange in the glass brings out its sweetness.
It is an easy-sipping tequila for celebrations.
